Turismo federal Miguel Torruco Marqu\u00e9s el inicio de los trabajos del XIICongreso Internacional del Meeting Professionals International (MPI), en el que participan 250 representantes de Sudam\u00e9rica, Centro Am\u00e9rica, M\u00e9xico y Estados Unidos de Norteam\u00e9rica, el gobernador Carlos Mendoza Davis se\u00f1al\u00f3 que en Baja California Sur se trabaja por diversificar la oferta, y conquistar nuevos mercados como el turismo de reuniones que tan solo en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o registr\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 8 mil eventos con 350 mil participantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-47651 aligncenter\" (max-width: 739px) 100vw, 739px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El ejecutivo estatal, quien estuvo acompa\u00f1ado por el secretario de Turismo estatal Luis Humberto Araiza, destac\u00f3 el papel preponderante que tiene este sector en la econom\u00eda de la entidad, y los esfuerzos que se realizan para continuar impulsando su crecimiento, como la operaci\u00f3n de este Centro de Convenciones, y el relanzamiento del centro de convenciones de Los Cabos, que se hab\u00eda visto afectado por el hurac\u00e1n Odile en 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDe tal manera que entramos de lleno a este segmento del mercado que crece de manera vertiginosa en nuestro pa\u00eds.Estamos listos para ser sede de eventos que como este, nos posicionan como un destino competitivo y de clase mundial, porque adem\u00e1s de los centros de convenciones, contamos con la infraestructura necesaria para albergar reuniones nacionales e internacionales\u201d, coment\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-47652 aligncenter\" justify;\">Por su parte, Torruco Marqu\u00e9s mencion\u00f3 que en BCS se ha roto la tradici\u00f3n de c\u00f3mo no hacer convenciones, de c\u00f3mo no utilizar los centros de convenciones, por ello \u201chago un p\u00fablico reconocimiento al gobernador y al secretario de Turismo porque han roto paradigmas y contratan especialistas en la materia para hacer turismo y el resultado es de todos conocido\u201d, apunt\u00f3 para luego ofrecer todo el respaldo de la dependencia para incrementar este segmento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De igual manera puntualiz\u00f3 que \u201cse rompe la rutina de muchos lugares que utiliza los centros de convenciones para fiestas de quince a\u00f1os, al no contratar profesionales, ese ejemplo se rompe y marca una nueva pauta para que en todos los estados del pa\u00eds lleven esta misma din\u00e1mica, si quieren darse a la apertura a este tipo de mercados que es de alto poder adquisitivo y que beneficia m\u00e1s a la poblaci\u00f3n local, por tener una mayor estad\u00eda y ser el elemento m\u00e1s oportuno para promover el destino\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" d\u00eda 5 de junio, estuvieron presentes el alcalde de La Paz, Rub\u00e9n Mu\u00f1oz Alvarez, Darren Temple, Chief Operation Officer del Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Jaime Salazar, Presidente del Consejo Mexicano de la Industria de Reuniones, Michel Vohlmuth, Presidente de MPI M\u00e9xico y Liliana Cabrera, Presidente Electo del MPI
