las actividades del \u201cMes de la Lucha contra el C\u00e1ncer de Mama\u201d, la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) se suma a las acciones de prevenci\u00f3n y detecci\u00f3n de esta enfermedad que, seg\u00fan cifras de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud, es considerada una de las primeras causas de muerte a nivel global.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-55411\" src=\"https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-1-574x492.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"574\" height=\"492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-1-574x492.jpg 574w, https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-1-150x129.jpg 150w, sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 574px) 100vw, 574px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Con ello, la instituci\u00f3n busca promover entre las universitarias y mujeres de la poblaci\u00f3n una cultura de autocuidado y autoexploraci\u00f3n, para lo cual contempla la realizaci\u00f3n de ferias de la salud, foros, pl\u00e1ticas y difusi\u00f3n de materiales donde se d\u00e9 a conocer informaci\u00f3n sobre este padecimiento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">De acuerdo con el rector Dante Salgado Gonz\u00e1lez, pr\u00e1cticamente la mitad de la poblaci\u00f3n estudiantil en la UABCS son mujeres, adem\u00e1s que tambi\u00e9n hay un n\u00famero muy importante de trabajadoras y de usuarias de los servicios universitarios.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-55412 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-2-738x492.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"738\" height=\"492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-2-738x492.jpg 738w, https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-2-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/nbcs.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/C\u00e1ncer-de-mama-UABCS-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Como instituci\u00f3n socialmente responsable, dijo que la UABCS tiene un compromiso con todas ellas, de all\u00ed que ya en otras ocasiones se haya vinculado con instancias de salud para coordinar jornadas de detecci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer de mama al interior del campus y ahora se adhiera a esta campa\u00f1a nacional tan relevante.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Al ser el c\u00e1ncer de mama la primera causa de muerte por tumores malignos en mujeres mayores de 25 a\u00f1os, subray\u00f3 que es vital fomentar los m\u00e9todos de autoexploraci\u00f3n, la importancia de los chequeos m\u00e9dicos y, sobre todo, la atenci\u00f3n inmediata en caso de sentir alg\u00fan malestar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Lo anterior puede significar la diferencia entre salvar o perder la vida, debido a que el c\u00e1ncer de mam\u00e1, al igual que muchas otras enfermedades, puede ser tratado e incluso prevenido si se detecta en etapas tempranas, puntualiz\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Cabe mencionar que para destacar este hecho, se llev\u00f3 a cabo un acto simb\u00f3lico en la explanada de rector\u00eda, donde miembros de la comunidad universitaria formaron un lazo humano de color rosa, insignia internacional utilizada por quienes se comprometen a crear
